Instagram ...

A few of you have pointed out your frustrations at the amount of pictures I sometimes post. I hear you! I do admit that when I start posting, it usually is in a series, around a theme, or what is happening in one day at the studio. Different angles, different variations, the subtle differences that create the sequencing of a moment, the beauty of a thousand more, different ways of seeing and dissecting that fraction of time and wanting others to see what I see and be moved as I am ...

Being on Instagram is not about "acquiring" followers, it is about documenting the work, creating a narrative: a diary of the work and process. It is a patchwork of time and moments if you like ...

It is strange trying to find a balance between wanting to share ALL that is happening (always in awe, surprised, in disbelief, and excited like a six year-old girl), wanting to share the beautiful styling and shots of other people using our work (chefs, bloggers, stores, press, etc...), and sharing any bit of good news.

Following quite a few people who post just as much in one go (if not more), my personality does not mind it.  And if it becomes annoying, I just scroll past the posts ... but I understand maybe that's not the case for many. When following a few hundred people, posts get diluted, but if you just follow a few,  I did not think of that scenario until it was gracefully pointed out to me.

These impulses are part of my personality ... (so much creativity wanting to flow out) ... too many pictures on Instagram for many of you (and yet ... wanting to post ten times more but am holding back already!) ... this is certainly a great metaphor, trying to tame those beast, learning to balance and pull back EVEN more! Life is a process, and sometimes, great truths come from strangers who share what they see/experience by our actions. Thank you for the honest feedback - I always appreciate and respect honesty when it comes from a genuine constructive place, even if it's not always easy to hear/read ...

I don't want to make promises I couldn't keep (I tried once before and failed miserably), but will try to slow down (a little) ...

Thank you for your patience and interest in the work!
