So a few days ago, Humble Ceramics received a visit from Nick & Tariq - the guys behind the very cool and upcoming TRNK: a site about to launch in early 2014 that will feature artisans and makers across the US and the environment in which they create. Eventually, the site will carry one-of-a-kind objects and other finds you won't see in every other shop.  When they arrived to Los Angeles, Nick and Tariq had driven through the US for the last 8 weeks - visiting fellow makers, getting to know them and establishing relationships for potential future collaborations. They actually fell in love with some of my 'seconds' and couldn't resist leaving without buying four Humble Ceramics plates (eventhough they had no room in their trnk!).  I can't wait to see the website and what these men of style will have acquired throughout their US roadtrip!

You can read more about TRNK here https://www.trnk-nyc.com/about/
and see their US adventure on their Instagram http://instagram.com/trnknyc#

Enoki Bowl used by Gregory Han

A beautiful picture of  (sorry - can't concentrate ... wanting to eat the picture) Gregory Han's lunch (Kimchi fried quinoa and tofu) in a new Enoki bowl. Thanks for sharing - it looks beautiful and yummy! Have to think about lunch now!

Enoki bowls in use by Miss Chiffonade

Over the week-end, Humble Ceramics was showing a few pieces at Artisanal LA, which is where we met Emily Ho aka Miss Chiffonade of the delicious blog Roots & Marvel.

Roots & Marvel is all about "cultivating wonder and a mindful relationship to nature, culture, and food" through classes, workshops and expeditions into nature ...

Emily chose two Humble Ceramics Enoki bowls to add to her collection and these are  pictures of them in use. How beautiful! The pictures looks like paintings. Thanks Emily for sharing your vision - loving it!
